Yoga and Acupuncture Workshop

A journey of balance and stillness with restorative yoga plus acupuncture, allowing you to come home to your body. Fall is the time for letting go of what is stale and clarifying what is our essence.

A three part acupuncture-yoga retreat is a requested repeat offering here at Jade, with options of doing just one, two, or all three sessions. These two hour retreats will include 5 to 6 guided restorative yoga postures and conclude with an extended relaxation, complete with acupuncture treatment. As Joseph Campbell said, "The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature." The intention of these retreats is to hold space where participants can explore a deeper connection with themselves, fellow beings, and the earth itself in a fluid and easeful way.  Calming the mind and thoughts but energizing the body.

 

This is a three part series. Enjoy all three or join us for one!

October 23 - The first retreat will celebrate the Harvest Season, helping us to store yin and bank yang as we relish the richness of all we gathered over the summer. With a focus on grounding restorative yoga postures and acupuncture to soothe the body, delivering essence to the mind and benefitting the spirit.

November 20 - The second retreat will harmonize with the season, as the trees lose their leaves and teach us the lesson of letting go we will work to release accumulations and stale energy.  A restorative yoga practice yielding deep release to allow for healing within. Acupuncture will harmonize the channels associated with the season.

December 18 - The third and final retreat will celebrate the Winter Solstice, we focus on nourishing body and mind as we prepare to enter the long dark cold gestation season with yoga and complementary acupuncture. Practicing a series of 4 to 5 restorative yoga postures that create stillness to activate the relaxation response. Acupuncture that will Raise Clear Yang - to benefit clarity, memory, and better sleep, connecting to higher self.

  • This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners
  • Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for yoga
