Upcoming Workshops

Jade Integrated Health offers a variety of wellness and education based workshops throughout the year. These workshops often draw from the different services we provide at our locations and typically include providers from different background to form a whole human approach. This means that you may see a physical therapist, acupuncturist, yoga teacher, massage therapist or fitness instructor teaming up for a workshop. If there is a topic or workshop you are interested in Jade providing, please let us know!

October 18th, November 15th and December 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM

Autumn is the season of transformation.  As the weather changes the seasonal shift impacts our daily rhythms. We become subjected to all manner of unexpected illnesses and stress brought on by lifeʼs bouncing rhythms. With the right kind of awareness in action, we can find balance and prevent illness.

This trilogy of workshops will provide you with skills that will help prevent illness and cultivate optimal health in body, heart and mind through simple and effective methods that are easy and fun to learn. You will be introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine and a gentle range of yoga techniques to promote wellness and relaxation and to help you navigate through seasonal fluctuations mindfully. It is important that we change with the seasons, just as nature does, by adapting our daily habits.

Join for one class or participate in all three!

This workshop is led by Cleo Wolf, an acupuncturist, herbalist, and a NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, and Lauren Lauzier, a certified yoga teacher. Both Cleo and Lauren are a part of the Jade Integrated Health staff.

October 18th:  Balance and Breath

Explore Traditional Chinese Medicine, restorative yoga poses, acupressure and breath work to help alleviate sinus pressure and congestion.  Your instructors will guide you through meditation and breath work, teach you specific acupressure techniques, lead you through restorative yoga poses ending with extended savanna and calming pranayama (breath work).

November 15th: Health in Your Hands

The hands are a complex microsystem representing the entire body, mind and spirit. Learn about this and how to clear blockages and unleash the innate healing powers of the body with Mudras, classical hand gestures that stimulate acupoints and invigorate channels carrying the energy of life. Discover some valuable first aid tips for back and neck pain and even a potential life saver!

A Winter Warm Up

Massage and Yoga Workshop

A Winter Warm Up WS page.png

Winter can be a challenging time in Maine. The cold weather and lack of sunlight may adversely affect our mood and energy levels. However, research shows that yoga and massage can help bring our mood and energy back into balance. Self-care is an important part of feeling good and staying healthy during the winter months. In this relaxing workshop you will learn yoga and self-massage techniques to incorporate into your daily life. In addition to self massage, you are welcome to receive a brief massage during Savasana by a licensed massage therapist.

Join us for a guided journey through specific asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork), mantra (sound) and mudras (hand gestures) that bring a more sattvic (balanced) quality to your mood and learn self-massage techniques to help facilitate relaxation. We will have brief discussion and education on how yoga and massage can help to manage mood and anxiety.

This workshop is led by Nancy Charlebois, co-founder of Jade Integrated Health, licensed physical and massage therapist, and Diane Murphy, a certified yoga teacher. Both Nancy and Diane are a part of the Jade Integrated Health staff.
