Covid-19 Protocol Success

Feeling Covid gratitude?  So are we!  We re-opened May 18th and are excited to be rebuilding Jade Integrated Health. Out management and staff have been working hard to ensure every patient’s safety.  It has been so nice for staff to be back together, we missed each other!  Within the last month, we were able to meet in our Brunswick office outside and have a cookout together to brainstorm our progress, challenges and what comes next.  We wanted to share with you some of the highlights.

What’s different from”pre-covid”?  Besides all the new protocols to keep patients and staff healthy, we have made some positive changes.  We have Monday as a purely administrative day.  That may sound boring, but for admin staff, it means getting things done without interruption.  It also means our admin staff can focus their time and energies on things that help our patients have a smooth experience. We are able to innovate everything from scheduling their first appointment, maintaining continuous care, paying their bill and then a successful discharge.  We always strive to be accountable and transparent and this extra time will allow us to achieve all our goals.

We also have been fortunate to hire two pelvic health physical therapists to meet the needs of this population.  We will now be able to provide pelvic health services for men, women and kids in Brunswick and Portland. Sheri Cavicchi DPT joined our team in mid-July and we look forward to welcoming Keri Wik DPT in September.

Looking for yoga, bootcamp or barre classes?  We transitioned to an online platform.  For the first time in 20 years, Jade has exercise enthusiasts participating from all over the world.  Wow!  We never imagined that.  We are so thankful for our yoga and exercise participants as they really kept us going by showing up multiple times a week and giving us supportive words. This community effort was amazing while the office was closed to patients.

Lastly, while the offices were closed for 8 weeks to in-person visits, we were able to transition to a new electronic medical record system.  Again, this sounds a little dull, but it was a wonderful opportunity for us to have a smooth move, which allowed providers, administrative staff and billing to transition more easily.

To all of you who have reached out with kind words, supported our business in the past, or continue to support our business….thank you! We couldn’t do it without this amazing community!
