Proactive Steps for Managing Stress
Restorative Yoga and Acupuncture Workshop
In this workshop you will be taught proactive steps to managing stress with acupuncturist Carole Wyche and yoga instructor/PT Grace Bedard.
Relax and unwind in a restorative yoga class, a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. Your restorative practice will be enhanced by receiving acupuncture during the final relaxation pose.
In this workshop we will focus on practical ways to relieve daily stress by harnessing your body’s ability to find calm with the ancient disciplines of east asian medicine and yoga. You will learn to calm your nervous system and combat stress with simple techniques and lifestyle changes.
At the end of this workshop you will have created a customized plan to help you maintain balance in multiple areas of your life including work life balance and activity/exercise.

Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for yoga
Wear clothing that gives access to the lower leg for acupuncture points
All yoga props and mats are provided
